Asia’s Premier Government-Backed Film Festival

The International Film Festival of India, commonly known as IFFI Goa, is a cornerstone of the film festival circuit in Asia. Established in 1952, it is one of the oldest film festivals in the region and is conducted jointly by the National Film Development Corporation of India (NFDC) and the state Government of Goa. The festival’s primary mandate is to provide a platform to showcase the excellence of global cinema and to foster a greater understanding and appreciation of different film cultures.

The festival’s programming is a diverse mix of Indian and international cinema. A crucial component of IFFI is the Film Bazaar, which runs concurrently with the festival. It is the largest and most important international co-production market in South Asia. The Bazaar is a bustling marketplace where filmmakers, producers, sales agents, and festival programmers from around the globe converge to develop, finance, sell, and acquire new film projects.
