Overview

This system integrates a cinema camera, 3-axis gimbal, and a Z-axis (vertical) stabilizer into a single platform, reducing bobbing during operator movement. It emphasizes rapid deployment—lens, focus, and stabilization work together—allowing crews to capture complex moves with fewer accessories.

Imaging and Focusing

The camera module records high-quality codecs and supports log profiles. LiDAR-assisted focusing provides rapid, repeatable focus pulls even in challenging environments, which is particularly useful for small crews or run-and-gun sequences. Wireless video and control enable remote operation for tight spaces or vehicle work.

On-Set Advantages

Because stabilization is native, the rig trims setup time compared with separate camera + gimbal builds. Operators can transition from walking moves to static frames quickly, maintaining continuity of energy in performance-driven scenes. The Z-axis reduces vertical oscillations that traditionally require post stabilization or Steadicam expertise.

Considerations

Payload and lens compatibility are finite; heavier cine glass may require rebalancing or be outside spec. For narrative shows, color pipelines should be tested so the camera’s log profiles align with the A-camera’s look. Batteries and media need careful management for long days.
