Mary Sean Young, born November 20, 1959, is an American actress recognized for her work in various genres, but she's mainly known for her roles in science fiction films. Early in her career, Young starred in Jane Austen in Manhattan (1980) and the commercially successful comedy, Stripes (1981). However, she got her breakout role as Rachael in the science fiction piece Blade Runner (1982). She then moved on to wield notable performances in films such as Dune (1984), No Way Out (1987), Wall Street (1987), Fatal Instinct (1993), and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994). Born in Louisville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of a television producer and a screenwriter. Before starting her acting journey, Young worked as a model and ballet dancer. Her early education was acquired at Cleveland Heights High School, followed by the Interlochen Arts Academy and the School of American Ballet.
