Peter Lawrence Boyle, an influential American actor known for his myriad character roles, was born on October 18, 1935, in Norristown, Pennsylvania. Boyle is most celebrated for his role as patriarch Frank Barone on the CBS sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond (1996-2005), garnering seven nominations for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.
