Paul Le Mat (born September 22, 1945) is a renowned American actor who gained prominence after staring in American Graffiti (1973). His extraordinary performance in the movie won him widespread critical acclaim and subsequently the Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year - Actor. Following his initial fame, Le Mat lead the box office hit Aloha, Bobby and Rose (1975). Additionally, Le Mat's grip on acting can be witnessed in Jonathan Demme's films including Handle with Care (1977) and Melvin and Howard (1980). He also delivered an award-winning performance in the TV film The Burning Bed (1984) and is an essential part of the cult film Puppet Master (1989) that triggered a franchise.
