Candace June Clark, better known as Candy Clark, is an accomplished American actress and model, born on June 20, 1947 in Norman, Oklahoma. Clark's acting journey began with the character of Faye in John Huston's film Fat City in 1972. This was the platform from which she launched her successful career, going on to attain prominent roles in several successful films over the years. Her most notable performances can be seen in films such as American Graffiti (1973), where she played Debbie Dunham, and The Man Who Fell to Earth (1976), where she portrayed Mary Lou. These roles not only established her as a reputable actress but also gained her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.

Besides her career in film, Clark has made her presence felt in the world of television, with guest appearances in numerous series, such as 'Magnum, P.I.', 'Simon & Simon', 'Baywatch Nights' and 'Twin Peaks: The Return', among others. Her continuous active involvement in the industry from 1972 till the present day highlights her sustained commitment to her craft. Aside from her professional life, Clark was also romantically involved with actor Jeff Bridges for several years after they met on the set of Fat City. She was later married to Marjoe Gortner and Jeff Wald, however, both marriages ended in divorce.
