Patricia Arquette is an American actress born on April 8, 1968, in Chicago, Illinois. She made her feature film debut as Kristen Parker in 'A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors' (1987) and has since starred in many acclaimed film and television productions. Her portrayals have won her several awards, including an Academy Award, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and three Golden Globe Awards. Some of her notable roles include those in 'True Romance' (1993), 'Ed Wood' (1994), 'Flirting with Disaster' (1996), and 'Lost Highway' (1997). From 2005 to 2011, she starred in the supernatural drama series 'Medium', for which she received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 2005.
Notable acclaim came for Patricia's role as a single mother in 'Boyhood' (2014), a coming-of-age film that was filmed from 2002 until 2014. This won her an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. She continued her success with roles in the miniseries 'Escape at Dannemora' (2018) and 'The Act' (2019), which won her Primetime Emmy Award and Golden Globe. Recent roles in the Apple TV+ thriller series Severance (2022–present) and comic series High Desert (2023) keep her on the top list of actresses.
