Nick Brimble, born Nicholas Brimble on 22 July 1944 in Bristol, England, is a versatile British actor whose career spans more than five decades across stage, television, film, and voice work. From his early exposure to performance through his father's amateur acting troupe to his academic pursuits in philosophy and English literature at the University of Sussex, Brimble cultivated a deep appreciation for storytelling that would shape his professional life. After earning an MA, he briefly taught English and drama in Baghdad before returning to the United Kingdom, where a stint as a youth theatre organiser at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury launched his entry into professional acting. In the early 1970s he co‑founded the Actors' Circus, performing avant‑garde productions such as Waiting for Godot and honing his craft in repertory companies across the country, notably at the Northcott Theatre in Exeter. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s Brimble became a familiar face on British television, appearing in series like The Sweeney, The Professionals, Space: 1999 and Blake's 7, while also taking supporting roles in films such as Silver Dream Racer and the Hammer horror entry Lust for a Vampire.
