Karl Glusman (born January 3, 1988) is a versatile American actor, acclaimed for his lead role in Gaspar Noé's controversial drama Love (2015) and applauded roles in The Neon Demon (2016) and Nocturnal Animals (2016). Born in The Bronx, New York City, Glusman moved to the Portland, Oregon area when he was a mere six months old. His ancestral roots can be traced back to his German-Jewish father and his Irish Catholic mother. Encouraging his interest in the arts, Glusman enrolled at Portland State University, where he began honing his acting skills through various courses. However, his academic journey at Portland was short-lived as he dropped out after a year, shifting his focus entirely on acting. His passion led him to the prestigious William Esper Studio in New York City.

Glusman's career gained momentum after an Adidas commercial led him to relocate to France. This move proved to be his breakthrough – Argentine-French film director Gaspar Noé cast him in Love, which was recognized for its unsimulated sex scenes. Making a striking appearance at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, Love sold all 2,200 seats at Palais des Festivals et des Congrès. His remarkable performance caught the eye of Tom Ford, who cast him in Nocturnal Animals (2016). Glusman's breadth of roles expanded in 2016 when he appeared in Nicolas Winding Refn's thriller, The Neon Demon. In 2020, he shared the screen with renowned actor Tom Hanks in Aaron Schneider's Greyhound.
