Andrew Russell Garfield, born 20 August 1983, is an English and American actor. He captured international attention in 2010 with his supporting role in the drama 'The Social Network', and gained further recognition for his portrayal of the superhero Spider-Man in 'The Amazing Spider-Man' (2012) and 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' (2014). Garfield later reprised the role in 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' (2021). His acting prowess earned him nominations for the Academy Award for Best Actor for his performances in 'Hacksaw Ridge' (2016) and 'Tick, Tick... Boom!' (2021), even winning a Golden Globe Award for the latter. He also appeared in 'Never Let Me Go' (2010), 'Silence' (2016), 'The Eyes of Tammy Faye' (2021) and 'We Live in Time' (2024). On television, he made waves in the crime drama miniseries 'Under the Banner of Heaven' (2022), earning a Primetime Emmy Award nomination.

Originally born in Los Angeles, California, Garfield moved to the United Kingdom when he was three years old.
