In 1995, four carefree final‑year engineering students—Lenin Vijay, Suresh, Akhil, and Karthi—live a laid‑back campus life on the outskirts of Trichy, where their everyday routine blends friendship with a taste for adventure. Their days take a turn when they cross paths with a local politician named Kumar, who dreams of launching his own caste‑based political party and also runs a roadside dhaba that becomes a regular hangout for the group.

As the story unfolds, the friends find themselves tangled in a series of tense encounters with the nearby community. A dangerous incident at the dhaba puts them on Kumar’s radar, prompting a fragile alliance as they begin to connect with him. Yet trouble is never far away: one of the students is attacked by locals, sparking a chaotic chase and a brawl that intensifies the already delicate social climate around them.

Parallel to these events, Lenin’s past interlaces with a troubling situation involving Agnes, Lenin’s ex‑girlfriend, and Ramanathan, a part‑time engineering student with a troubling interest. Karthi steps in to confront Ramanathan and brings the episode to Lenin’s attention, only to have Ramanathan and his friends ambush Karthi later at the dhaba.
