Spoilers ahead
Two interwoven stories drive the narrative, blending street-smart grit with calculated crime, as two sets of men chase power and survival in Chennai. Sathyavan and Kiruba are close friends who live opposite each other in the police quarters. Sathyavan is a carefree, drink-soaked troublemaker who bounces from one petty altercation to another, while Kiruba studies hard to become a Sub-Inspector and continually pushes his friend to aim higher. Their divergent paths set the stage for a rivalry that sits beneath a stubborn loyalty, and the film follows how far friendship can bend under pressure and pride.
