Who is the elusive drug lord that the police have been unable to capture for nearly a decade?

In Goa, six dead bodies wash ashore, triggering a tense investigation that points to a shadowy figure known as Jothi Ashutosh Rana, a drug lord who never stays in one place. Because he moves constantly and has no permanent allies, the police struggle to pin him down for nearly a decade, and the mystery around his whereabouts only adds to the danger surrounding Goa’s underworld. The storm of crime around the coast is tightly controlled by a man named Chitti, who oversees trafficking in the region, but the balance of power is suddenly threatened when a missing drug consignment sparks a chain of events that none of them could anticipate. It’s soon revealed that Shiva, a figure shaping the heist from the shadows, is the mastermind behind the theft and operates as Chitti’s most trusted henchman. Yet in a shocking twist, Shiva is actually Arul Arya, an undercover officer assigned to expose Jothi and dismantle his cartel.
Arul’s mission is dangerous and precise. He moves under the radar, feeding information to his higher-ups, including Bharathi Anupama Kumar and Benjamin Vas, keeping a tight track on the cartel’s movements. Alongside him is his best friend and colleague, Karthik Vishwanath / Malik Ramana, who works for Sharma [Ashish Vidhyarthi](/actor/ashish-vidhyarthi, a Gujarat-based drug lord who holds a crucial stake in the broader plot. The plan is intricate: Bharathi’s team intends to orchestrate a face-to-face transaction between Sharma’s gang and Jothi to leverage the exchange of a thousand kilograms of cocaine, hoping to snag the majority of it during a carefully staged two-step operation. The aim is to allow a small, first trial of 100 kilograms while striking hard to seize the remaining 900 kilograms through a simultaneous raid if everything goes as planned.
But the operation hits a snag when a jealous boss interferes and detonates the raid at the last moment. The unexpected interruption unravels the carefully laid cover, and Karthik is captured and tortured by Guru [Harish Uthaman], who is a ruthless enforcer within Jothi’s circle, to reveal Arul’s true identity. Under brutal duress, Karthik discloses what he knows about Arul, forcing Arul to reveal himself in the most perilous of moments. The situation escalates quickly as Chitti’s men try to gun down Arul, but Arul responds with lethal force, killing Chitti and taking down Guru in a brutal showdown. Karthik does not survive the encounter, and Jothi’s operation suddenly shifts from a hunt to a manhunt aimed at capturing Arul.
With Chitti gone and his crew scattered, Jothi presses the grip of the law to seize Arul, who finds himself cornered by the police force turned against him. To survive and complete his mission, Arul deliberately allows his capture, entering a no-win scenario that forces him to earn Jothi’s trust in order to reach him, face to face. This dangerous poker game hinges on a dangerous lie: Arul convinces Jothi that Rane is responsible for the drug theft and the Chitti shootout, a claim that is tested by a resourceful plan to falsify evidence. Arul enlists help from a prostitute he once assisted and plants the stolen drugs at Rane’s residence, drawing Jothi’s men to the scene and setting up a dramatic confrontation where Rane and his gang appear to be the culprits.
Jothi orders Rane and his men killed, and Arul’s careful manipulation leads Jothi to believe that the evidence is sound. A ballistic test is performed, seemingly vindicating Arul’s story, and Jothi begins to trust him — a dangerous trust that could grant Arul the chance he needs to get close enough to strike. Arul is invited to join Jothi’s inner circle, and as he inches closer to his target, he finds his every move monitored by Usha [Hansika Motwani], a neighbor who has secretly been recording Arul for her own fascination. The revelation that Arul is an undercover cop becomes the new anchor of the story; Bharathi and Benjamin are assassinated by Jothi’s men when the truth comes to light, and Arul is beaten and bound in a harbour while the search for Sharma’s remaining cocaine intensifies around him.
Desperation peaks as Arul whispers the precise location of Sharma’s 900 kilograms, and as Jothi draws near to hear the truth, Arul uses a blade to blind the tyrant’s eyes, creating just enough distraction for him to break free and eliminate the remaining guards. In a climactic sequence, Arul outmaneuvers Jothi’s faction, seizes the weapon that would seal Jothi’s fate, and arrests him before any political influence can derail the case. With Jothi captured and the cartel left without a leader, the fight is not over for Arul, who must confront personal loyalties and the broader mission that still lies ahead.
In the aftermath, Arul remains focused on his broader objective. He rejects Usha’s romantic entreaties and steps back from that chapter of his life to pursue the next mission with an unyielding resolve. The film closes with a decisive move: Arul takes down Sharma and reclaims the remaining 900 kilograms, ensuring that the drug network he has spent so long dismantling cannot rebuild. The narrative leaves us with a stark, hard-edged portrait of a man who walks the line between law and crime, using deception to expose criminals while paying a personal price for every choice he makes along the way. The result is a stark, tightly wound thriller that measures the cost of justice in a world where trust is scarce, power is dangerous, and the line between undercover truth and real danger can blur in a heartbeat.
