What Is The Moonraker About?
The premise of The Moonraker without spoilers.
After the Battle of Worcester ends the Civil War, Oliver Cromwell’s Commonwealth seeks to capture Charles Stuart, the future king. His escape relies on the bold Earl of Dawlish, the Moonraker, who has already smuggled many Royalists. Dawlish travels to the Windwhistle Inn on the south coast to arrange the flight and meets Anne Wyndham, the fiancée of a leading Roundhead colonel, complicating the mission.
