
Alan Mitchell returns to New York to work for his father Walter, who runs a fashion house that designs and manufactures dresses. To keep the business non‑union, Walter hires Artie Ravidge, a tough enforcer who uses strong‑arm tactics to keep workers in line. Mitchell soon finds himself caught between family loyalty and the ruthless methods used to maintain low costs.
