The film features four retired mobsters, brought to life by Richard Dreyfuss, Seymour Cassel, Burt Reynolds, and Dan Hedaya. Set in sun-soaked South Beach, the story follows a tight-knit group who worry that rising rents will push them out of their aging apartment building as it becomes a magnet for young, wealthy newcomers. In a bid to stay put, they hatch a reckless plan: stage a murder in the building’s lobby and borrow a corpse from the mortuary to pass off as the victim. What seems like a petty ruse soon spirals into something far more tangled and dangerous.
