What Is The Burning of Judas About?
The premise of The Burning of Judas without spoilers.
Jesús María Carmona, a petty thief, assumes a police uniform to pull off a bank robbery. Days before his plan, guerrillas hit the same bank; forced to act as an officer, he is shot dead defending it. Afterwards, authorities lionise him as a police hero, but his true identity is exposed, and his hometown burns his effigy, branding him a traitor.
