The premise of Samurai III: Duel at Ganryu Island without spoilers.
Takezo abandons his wandering samurai life and declines the shogun’s offer to become a teacher and vassal. He settles on a village edge, growing vegetables, while Otsu and later Akemi, both in love with him, follow. After defending villagers from brigands, he seeks Otsu’s forgiveness, accepts her love, and prepares for his duel with the confident swordsman Sasaki Kojiro on Ganryu Island.
