Sabarivasan is a doctor by profession who cannot tolerate injustice by any means. When Nandhini, a college student, meets him, she falls in love with him, and the couple eventually marry, forging a partnership built on trust and shared ideals.
Vajravelu, a local criminal working for a minister, casts a long shadow over the community. His brother-in-law Ezhumalai is arrested by the police for a brutal murder; on the way to court, he is shot by a policeman. Vajravelu’s henchmen bring Ezhumalai to Sabari and force him to operate. Sabarivasan removes the bullet, and in the process he defends himself against the henchmen and presents Ezhumalai to the police. Ezhumalai is sentenced to death and is hanged.
