Mimi Rathore, a stage dancer from Rajasthan chasing a Bollywood dream, finds a potential shortcut after a performance. A taxi driver named Bhanupratap Pandey introduces Mimi to an American couple, John and Summer, who are looking for a surrogate mother willing to help them have a child for ₹20 lakh. Driven by her ambitions, Mimi agrees to the arrangement, hoping this loan of opportunity will push her toward stardom.

The IVF procedure succeeds and Mimi becomes pregnant. To avoid suspicion, she pretends to head off for a long outdoor film shoot and hides at her friend Shama’s place, while the couple’s surrogate arrangement is to be managed through the pregnancy by the driver. Mimi’s family becomes involved in the plan as the months pass, and the situation grows more delicate with each passing day.

As the pregnancy continues, Mimi’s doctor delivers troubling news: the baby could be born with Down syndrome. John and Summer are stunned and swiftly reconsider their decision, asking Mimi to abort and return to the United States. Mimi refuses to end the pregnancy and resolves to carry the child to term, returning home to her family and weaving a story that Bhanu is the father, claiming she has eloped and married him. The driver and the friend go along with the fabrication, letting Mimi keep her unborn child.

When they meet the family to arrange Raj’s fate, they reveal a surprising twist: John is with another child, Tara, whom they had adopted after feeling a connection at an orphanage.
