Ajay is a young boy who lives with his mother Parvati and has a remarkable gift for the sarangi. Seeing his talent, a couple from their village now based in Bangalore take him along in search of better opportunities, along with the village head’s spoiled son, Sunil.
As the two boys grow, Ajay becomes a calm, innocent, and humble young man, while Sunil—though good at heart—remains stubborn and headstrong. Ajay one day composes a tune entirely on his own, a moment that sets the story in motion. The melody reaches the ears of a college student named Madhu, and she is immediately drawn to the music and the mystery of its creator.
