What Is Close Harmony About?
The premise of Close Harmony without spoilers.
Marjorie, a song‑and‑dance star in a lavish movie‑theater revue, becomes infatuated with Al West, a warehouse clerk who runs an unconventional jazz band. Using her influence she secures them a program slot, prompting house manager Max Mindel to fire the group and hire harmony singers Barney and Bey. When Marjorie's schemes jeopardize relationships, Al exposes her, the singers reconcile, and Max gives Al another chance. The band becomes a sensation, and Max offers Al a $1,000‑a‑week contract.
