What Is Canary Season About?
The premise of Canary Season without spoilers.
In 1980, twenty‑year‑old Malin, fatherless, is released after assaulting a lover of his mother Lily. He finds a soldier’s photo in her desk, thinks it’s his father, confronts the teacher, but gets no answer. Lily recounts her bleak past: a court, a prison camp, forced to inform on a kind stranger, an asylum and poverty. Malin must decide how to respond.
