Ankit is a carefree youngster who dreams of becoming a renowned musician, and his parents stand by his side as he pursues that path with their quiet encouragement. Pallavi, by contrast, thrives on structure and hard work; she is a software engineer at a large multinational, balancing ambition with a practical outlook. The two are childhood friends, part of a tight-knit circle that includes three other companions—one forever chasing a visa to the US, another devoted to social service, and a third who hopes to launch his own business but isn’t sure what kind of venture to start.
