Navjot Singh, an Ayurvedic doctor residing in Hoshiarpur, oversees a rather unique household comprised of his three children, each grappling with their personal challenges. His eldest son, Yuvraj, has a hearing impairment, while his younger son, Harbhajan, commonly referred to as “Bhajji,” struggles with a noticeable stutter. Their daughter, Paro, suffers from night blindness, which complicates her interactions. Despite the strong bonds that tie this family together, they are burdened by secrets, striving to keep these difficulties hidden from the outside world.

The plot takes a turn when Navjot receives a marriage proposal for Paro from Rohit Patel, a non-resident Indian from Australia. Motivated to present the most favorable version of themselves, the Singh family embarks on an elaborate plan to camouflage their flaws in front of Rohit and his parents. Paro and Rohit’s initial encounter in Switzerland adds to the complexity; during this chance meeting, Rohit comes to Paro’s aid when a purse thief strikes. However, her condition keeps her from seeing him properly in low light situations, planting the seeds for future misunderstandings.

As Rohit travels to India to formally meet Paro’s family, his arrival happens under the cover of darkness, setting the stage for a series of miscommunications driven by the Singh family’s insistence on maintaining their deception. Billo, Yuvraj’s wife, enters the scene with her suspicions growing after realizing the extent of the family’s secrets. Her own experiences lead her to draw parallels with Paro’s situation, spurring her to devise plans aimed at revealing the hidden truths of the Singh family.

In a twist, it is unveiled that Rohit himself is concealing a significant secret: he suffers from hemeralopia, a condition that leaves him struggling to see clearly in bright daylight. This revelation adds yet another layer to the unfolding drama. As pressure mounts, the web of deceit begins to fray; secrets are exposed, and family members from both sides gradually come to learn about each other’s realities. This culminates in revealing not only Rohit’s struggles but also those of Paro and her family.
