What Is A Tale of Five Cities About?
The premise of A Tale of Five Cities without spoilers.
An Englishman who has spent years in the US adopts an American accent. Drafted into the British Army during World II, he is wounded and loses his memory. Because he sounds American, doctors repatriate him to the U.S., where a New York family takes him in. After the war they travel across Europe, searching for the women he remembers to restore his memory.
