Annette Bening

Annette Carol Bening, born on May 29, 1958, is renowned as a versatile American actress with a career spanning more than four decades. Garnering numerous accolades, Bening has demonstrated outstanding work across the stage and screen, earning a BAFTA Award, two Golden Globe Awards, and nominations for five Academy Awards, a Primetime Emmy Award, and two Tony Awards. A graduate of San Francisco State University and the American Conservatory Theater, she initiated her career on stage with the Colorado Shakespeare Festival company in 1980, playing Lady Macbeth in 1984 at the American Conservatory Theater. Bening's film debut came in 1988, followed by recognition for her role in The Grifters in 1990, for which she received her first Academy Award nomination.
