The Fan Clubhouse
While many content creators run an official Discord Server for their audience, a fan Discord is a grassroots community created and moderated entirely by fans. These servers are dedicated to a single, shared passion—be it a specific movie like Interstellar, a director like Wes Anderson, or a massive franchise like the MonsterVerse. They offer a more intimate, focused, and real-time alternative to public forums like a subreddit thread.
The structure of a fan Discord is designed for organized, multifaceted conversation. A server for a franchise like Dune, for instance, would likely have separate text channels for:

A cornerstone of the fan Discord experience is the watch party. Community members will gather in a voice channel to synchronize their viewing of a film, providing live commentary and reactions as if they were all in the same room. This transforms the solitary act of re-watching a favorite movie into a communal, interactive event.
