A transport cafe mix-up—caused by two bikes and matching leather gear—causes Julie to end up on the back of the wrong motorcycle, that of Thomas ‘Tom’ Ernest Bennett Alfred Lynch, while Irene Janette Scott takes Larry’s bike. The two couples realize the error within minutes and scramble to set things right.

Back at the cafe, Tom gets mocked at the counter for the mix-up. Larry returns briefly but bolts when he spots a police car, and the two couples split: one head for Sevenhills, the other for Westport.
