A young fly named Nat embarks on an extraordinary journey with his two close friends, I.Q. and Scooter, as they aspire to achieve something monumental. With the backdrop of Cape Canaveral, Florida, where Apollo 11 awaits its historic launch, the trio decides to build a miniature rocket in a nearby field. Nat’s inspiration stems from the adventurous tales of his grandfather, Amos, who once shared thrilling stories of rescuing the legendary Amelia Earhart during her historic transatlantic flight. Fuelled by dreams of adventure, Nat becomes determined to join the astronauts on their moon mission, declaring that dreamers cannot be deterred! His friends, though hesitant at first, eventually support Nat’s ambitious plan.

As dawn breaks, the flies have already set their mission in motion, stowing away in the helmets of renowned astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins. While their families worry about their absence, the three venturesome flies are rocketing into space, ready to create history alongside their human counterparts. Little do the astronauts know, there’s more on board than they bargained for. On the ground, Nat’s family, including his worried mother, is glued to the television, watching their beloved flies’ adventure unfold. Amid the excitement, a NASA team member draws attention to some unusual “contaminants” detected on board—little do they realize the truth.

Meanwhile, news of the adventurous flies reaches Russia, igniting jealousy among their own flies. A sinister plan emerges, led by Yegor, a nasty operative intent on thwarting the American mission. However, a charming Russian fly named Nadia discovers the truth about Nat when she hears him call out his grandfather’s name, which resonates deeply with her past.

As Apollo 11 hurtles toward the moon, Nat and I.Q. bravely navigate through a labyrinth of wires to fix a critical malfunction that threatens the mission’s success. Their quick thinking ensures the spacecraft reaches lunar orbit without anyone realizing the heroic deeds of the tiny interlopers. Unfortunately, their victory is short-lived as the trio finds themselves captured in a test tube filled with aerosol mist. With remarkable determination, they break free just in time for the Lunar Module to make its historic landing on the moon’s surface.

On the moon, Nat is filled with awe while I.Q. and Scooter join him, celebrating their monumental achievement from within Aldrin’s helmet. However, back on Earth, tensions rise as Nadia reunites with Amos after decades apart, revealing the impending threat posed by Yegor’s scheme to sabotage Apollo 11’s return by crashing it into Mount Rushmore. The stakes are higher than ever as Nat’s mother faints, while Amos’s resolve is reignited as he vows to rescue his grandson.

In a race against time, the team of Grandpa Amos, Nat’s mother, and Nadia comes together to thwart the Russian plot just as Apollo 11 nears Earth. Together, through perilous stunts and quick thinking, they manage to foil Yegor’s plan. The spacecraft ultimately splashes down safely in the Pacific Ocean, carrying not just astronauts but the untold story of three little flies that made such a mission possible.

As they return hailed as heroes, the trio embraces the sensational motto: Adventure forever! After all, the notion that dreamers get swatted? Not on their watch! In a light-hearted twist, the real-life Buzz Aldrin makes a brief appearance at the film’s conclusion, assuring viewers that no flies were part of the actual Apollo 11 mission.
