Chechnya hostage rescue goes wrong

Breslin's security team conducts a hostage rescue in Chechnya. Kimbral trusts his algorithms but deviates from mission objectives. One hostage is shot and dies from wounds, and Breslin fires Kimbral in response.

A year later: protecting Yusheng Ma

Shu Ren is tasked with protecting his cousin Yusheng Ma as he prepares to announce new satellite technology. Ruscho, a rival company, targets Yusheng and launches a plan to abduct him. After a party in Bangkok, Shu defends Yusheng from masked assailants, but the pair are tasered and kidnapped.

Shu and Yusheng are kidnapped and taken to an undisclosed location. They are tasered and separated, while Breslin's team intensifies their search for both of them.

Shu imprisoned in HADES

Shu finds himself imprisoned in an arena called HADES, forced to fight other inmates. In this strange prison, he meets fellow inmate Kimbral who explains the prison's purpose and the power behind it. Months pass as Shu adapts to his confinement.

Breslin's team mounts a search for Shu

Breslin, Hush, Abigail, and Luke begin coordinating to locate Shu after his disappearance. They gather clues and work with allies to mount a rescue operation. The case hints at a larger, hidden organization behind HADES.

Shu learns of the Zookeeper and escape plan

Shu encounters warden Gregor Faust, who calls himself the Zookeeper. Faust demands Yusheng's patents in exchange for release. Yusheng reveals he buried the technology to prevent its misuse, and Shu resolves to escape.

DeRosa joins the hunt; Luke is captured

Breslin and Trent DeRosa follow clues linking Kimbral to HADES. Luke is captured and transferred into the prison, raising the stakes for the rescue. The team redoubles its efforts to locate Shu and Yusheng.

Inside allies: Chu and Count Zero

Shu befriends the prison cook Chu and learns that the layout shifts every night, controlled by a pencil mark. He earns the trust of Count Zero, the hacker who leads Legion, who claims to know the layout. Count Zero's information signals that the escape will hinge on exploiting the prison's system.

Count Zero's true role exposed and Count Zero's execution

The group is brought in for questioning and Count Zero is presumably executed the next day. Kimbral reveals his dual role in running HADES, built to extract information from inmates. He vows to torment Shu and Yusheng unless the patent is handed over.

Breslin goes undercover in HADES

Knowing Kimbral's vendetta, Breslin allows himself to be captured and sent to HADES. He uses a hidden tooth communication device to stay in contact with Hush and coordinate an inside breach. He begins coordinating with Shu, Luke, Yusheng, the cook, Count Zero's allies, and other inmates on a rescue plan.

Disabling cameras and Galileo

Shu, Luke, and Breslin implement the plan by disabling surveillance cameras and temporarily shutting down Galileo, the prison's automated defense system. They rally inmates and move toward the medical center and control room. The Zookeeper responds with an armed assault as alarms howl through the facility.

Power up: Yusheng and DeRosa breach the entrance; Shu kills Zookeeper

Yusheng overrides the prison's power systems, enabling DeRosa to breach from outside. Inside, Shu and Yusheng search for an exit while DeRosa and Luke race toward the control room. Shu kills the Zookeeper in a knife fight, clearing the path for extraction.

Final confrontation and Galileo shutdown

Breslin engages Kimbral in a hand-to-hand fight, while DeRosa rescues Luke from guards. Breslin defeats Kimbral and, with DeRosa's help, disables Galileo. Shu and Yusheng find an exit and are safely extracted by Abigail and Hush.

Extraction and promise to expose HADES

Abigail and Hush extract Shu and Yusheng to safety. Breslin is contacted by the group behind HADES and vows to track them down. The team resolves to expose the organization and bring the truth to light.
