An unnamed astronaut tends a quiet, stubborn garden aboard his lonely spaceship. When a meteor strike rocks the vessel, it crashes onto a small, barren rock of a planet. Cut off from Earth, he fights to keep the garden alive and continues to tend the plants as best as he can. He tries to reach out beyond the stars, but the call never returns, leaving him with only the planet’s wind and silence.

In a desperate move, he transfers the garden plants from the ship to the planet’s soil. The plants begin to struggle without air and water, withering under the harsh conditions. His vigil is interrupted by a second ship plummeting onto the planet. Investigating the wreck, he finds it deserted, yet there are footprints that hint someone else once stood there. Following the trail back to his own ship, he discovers something extraordinary: a single plant in the base of a towering tree has started to grow dramatically, and a pinkish female alien with ribboned hair stands there, quietly guiding the growth.

The alien returns to the planet, retrieves the other plants from the crashed ship, and begins to plant them into the soil, gradually transforming the bleak rock into a thriving, expansive garden. A powerful connection forms between them, and they fall in love at first sight. When the alien removes the astronaut’s helmet, he nearly suffocates, only to learn that she has somehow created breathable air for him. In a gesture both intimate and inexplicable, she makes life-sustaining air appear where there was none, and the two begin to share a blossoming life together on this new world.

Over time, the planet blossoms into a lively, green world: an atmosphere, flowing water, lush vegetation, and floating clouds. The couple spends years together, and the astronaut learns simple joys from his partner, like tasting mangos and the rhythms of their environment. Their life grows deeper as they start a family, and two daughters arrive, each bearing traits from both parents: the older daughter carries her mother’s hair color but inherits subtle strands from her father, while the younger daughter shares her father’s hair color yet has her mother’s ribbon-like hair.

As the years pass, the alien grows weak. She loses her appetite and her ability to walk, and the planet slowly begins to falter without her vitality. In the astronaut’s arms she dies, surrounded by a sparkling aurora, and for a moment he experiences the same suffocating lack of air that once nearly claimed him. Yet a miracle unfolds: his daughters lend him air, just as their mother did, and they reveal a shared power to revive the planet instantaneously, restoring the world to life.

In the post-credits warmth, the family sleeps beneath a tree with a pet alien dog nearby. The astronaut’s rest is interrupted by the sight of another spaceship crash-landing on the planet. Curiosity drives him and his daughters to investigate the wreck, and what they discover is something that makes him blush, a secret that hints at a new, unseen chapter for their extraordinary world.
