Talion is an ex-bounty hunter turned homesteader who, after his ranch is burned to the ground and his wife and child are murdered, meets up with and hires Benny Wallace to track down the killer, Ike Slant. Along the way, they befriend entrepreneur Brian Quince, his daughter Bri Quince and her brother Jo-Hi Quince.
Brian, mistaking the two bounty hunters for lawmen, provides them with information to help them track down Ike Slant and his accomplices, the Beetson brothers, Jonas Beetson and Charley Beetson.
During an ambush on Ike’s camp, Ike shoots Talion’s gun hand while Wallace is able to gun down both Beetson brothers. Without Talion’s support, Ike is able to deliver a head wound to Wallace before escaping on horseback.
The two wounded bounty hunters are thus forced to rely upon each other, leading them to resolutely combine into one single, unstoppable killing machine. Talion facilitates this by training Wallace, who cannot see but can still shoot straight, to visualize a clock in his head so that Talion can guide his aim using clock numbers as directions.
Wallace, it turns out, is the son of the famous Pat Garrett, which adds a personal edge to their pursuit. It is also revealed that Talion killed Slant’s younger brother before the movie started and that Ike’s slaying of Talion’s son and wife were an act of vengeance. During the final shootout, Wallace (Garrett Jr.) and Ike Slant are both killed. Despite a developing romantic relationship with Bri, Talion rides off, leaving her behind so that she does not meet the same fate as his late wife.

In the sun-scorched expanses of a lawless frontier, survival often depends on who holds the faster draw and the steadier aim. Talion, a former bounty hunter who once walked away from the violent life to build something peaceful, finds himself pulled back into a world he thought he’d left behind. A devastating tragedy shatters his homestead, leaving him with nothing but loss and a burning need for retribution.
Determined to track down those responsible, Talion enlists the help of Benny Wallace, a younger gunslinger with skills of his own. The partnership between the weathered veteran and the ambitious newcomer creates an uneasy but necessary alliance, each man bringing something vital to a pursuit that promises danger at every turn. Along the way, they encounter a family whose knowledge of the territory may prove invaluable — or may place them squarely in the path of violence.
Central to their quest is an unusual weapon, an oddly-shaped firearm that becomes their signature in a land where reputation can be as deadly as any bullet. As Talion and Wallace navigate the treacherous landscape and the even more dangerous human element, they must confront not only their quarry but also the weight of their own pasts. The frontier demands a price from everyone who walks its trails, and vengeance, however justified, comes with its own complicated toll.
The dusty trails ahead hold no guarantees, and the line between hunter and hunted can shift in the blink of an eye. In a world where justice is often measured in lead and gunpowder, two men must decide how far they are willing to go — and what they are willing to become — to settle a score written in blood.
