He is widely acknowledged for his roles in movies such as "Big Trouble in Little China", "Seven Years in Tibet" and "The Last Emperor". Born as Yee Keung Victor Wong, he was a third-generation Chinese-American born in San Francisco's Chinatown. Wong was an epitome of dedication and passion, coming from a humble background, he battled Bell's palsy to fulfill his acting aspirations. This didn't deter him, and if anything, his distinct appearance became a unique aspect of his on-screen presence.

Wong's career spanned over several decades, and he won the heart of many with his diverse roles.
