Ice Kacang Puppy Love (2010): Cast, Box Office & Plot

Set in the 1980s in Tronoh, a small Perak town, Botak is portrayed as a quiet, reserved youth, the younger son of a Chinese coffeeshop owner. His shaved head, a hallmark from childhood, earns him the nickname Botak, and beneath his calm exterior hides a tender admiration for Chew An Qi, known to locals as Fighting-Fish, the daughter of a local char kuey teow seller who rents a stall in the same shop. Their worlds brush softly against each other as Botak guards a secret crush, often expressed not in words but in the portraits he draws of her. This attraction unfolds against the backdrop of a town where daily life unfolds with simple rhythms, shared meals, and the quiet drift of neighbors who know each other’s stories.
