Kuniko Miyake (三宅 邦子, Miyake Kuniko, 17 September 1916 – 4 November 1992) was a revered Japanese actress, renowned for her extensive career that spanned nearly six decades from 1934 to 1991. She is credited with appearances in approximately 200 films demonstrating her prowess in the craft and leaving an indelible mark in the Japanese cinematic universe. Miyake was originally born as Yasu Miura in Iwatsuki City, Saitama Prefecture. Upon graduating from Saitama Prefectural Kuki High School, she joined the Shochiku film studios in 1934 and made her film debut in 'Yume no sasayaki'. Her impressive talent saw her career persist beyond the World War II, during which she presented her talent in productions by other renowned film studios such as Toho, Daiei in addition to Shochiku.

She is best remembered for her collaborations with the eminent filmmaker Yasujirō Ozu, showcasing her dramatic skills in prominent films like 'Late Spring' and 'Tokyo Story'. Miyake's legacy extends beyond the silver screen, as she frequently graced television dramas with her presence, further establishing her as a versatile performer in Japanese entertainment.
