Jimmy Wong (born James Franklin Wong on March 28, 1987) is an American actor and musician who first gained widespread attention in 2011 with his viral music video 'Ching Chong: Asians in the Library Song'. The video was a satirical response to a UCLA student’s anti‑Asian rant and demonstrated Wong’s ability to blend humor with social commentary, earning coverage from MSNBC, NPR and national news outlets. Raised in Normandy Park, Washington, Wong graduated from Middlebury College in 2009 with a theater and drama major before moving to Los Angeles to pursue acting. He has since built a diverse career that spans web series, feature films, television, and video games, most notably portraying Ted in the popular web series Video Game High School and appearing as Ling in Disney’s 2020 live‑action remake of Mulan.
