Jackie Earle Haley (born July 14, 1961) is a prominent American actor and director, recognized for his impactful roles across several decades. His early acting career started with roles in Breaking Away (1979) and The Bad News Bears series (1976-1978). Despite a stagnation in his acting career during the 1990s and early 2000s when he transitioned into directing and producing commercials, Haley resurged into prominence with his role in All the King's Men (2006), followed by a significant portrayal in Little Children (2006) that anchored a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. This renaissance in his acting career led to roles in Watchmen (2009), A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010), Alita: Battle Angel (2019), and recurring roles in TV series like Preacher and The Tick.

Off-screen, Haley has demonstrated an entrepreneurial spirit with his production company, JEH Productions.
