Gina L. Gershon, often known as Gina Gershon, was born on June 10, 1962, in Los Angeles, California. She began her path in arts from a young age, venturing into acting at the age of 14. After high school, she moved to Boston to attend Emerson College and then transferred to New York University, graduating with a BFA in drama and psychology/philosophy in 1983. Gershon later attended the Circle in the Square Professional Theater School in New York and became one of the founding members of the New York-based theater group Naked Angels. She is an american actress, singer and author, known for films like 'Cocktail,' 'Showgirls,' 'Face/Off,' 'Killer Joe,' and 'House of Versace'. She has also had supporting roles in TV series like FX's 'Rescue Me' and HBO's 'How to Make It in America'. She is also known for the role of Jughead's mom, Gladys Jones, in The CW series 'Riverdale' and Jeanie Bloom in NBC's 'New Amsterdam'. Gershon also has recurring roles in popular shows and guest appearances in various series like HBO's comedy series 'Curb Your Enthusiasm', and 'How to Make It in America', as well voicing roles in animated series like 'Tripping the Rift'. Beyond acting, Gershon has also shined in the music industry, contributing her jaw harp talents to a variety of songs and releasing her own album.
