Lola Williams Miley Cyrus leads an ordinary life in Chicago, balanced between a boyfriend named Chad George Finn and a tight circle of friends that includes Janice Lina Esco, Kyle Douglas Booth, and Emily. A persistent suitor named Wen hovers around Emily, but she keeps him at a distance as she navigates a growing crush of her own on her math teacher, Colin Ross Austin Nichols. Emily publicly keeps her cards close, even as she leans on tutoring she hopes will bring her closer to Colin. Emily also lives with her mother, Emily’s Mom Nora Dunn, and a younger brother named Jackson Brady Tutton, shaping a household where boundaries feel porous and grown-up issues intrude early.
