Daniel Giménez Cacho, born on May 15, 1961, in Madrid, Spain, is a critically acclaimed Spanish-born Mexican actor known for his numerous roles in both Mexican and international cinema. Perhaps best known for his role as Tito the Coroner in Cronos (1993) and We Are What We Are (2010), Giménez Cacho has cultivated an impressive filmography of diverse roles throughout his long-standing career. He is the youngest of six children, born to acting parents Luis Giménez Cacho and Julia García Casado, both of whom were part of the prominent theatre company La Barraca. As a child, he moved to Mexico where he continued his theatre studies at the National Autonomous University of Mexico(UNAM).

Giménez Cacho has showcased his versatile acting talent in various Mexican films and television series including 'Sólo Con Tu Pareja', 'Midaq Alley', 'Tear This Heart Out', and 'Bad Education'. His collaborations with esteemed Hispanic filmmakers such as Guillermo del Toro, Alfonso Cuarón, Jorge Fons and Pedro Almodóvar are especially noteworthy. Furthermore, he voiced the narrator in the popular film Y tu mamá también. He also ventured into international cinema with roles like the Armenian priest in The Promise, a film centering on the Armenian genocide.
