Chris Shields (born 27 December 1990) is an Irish professional footballer who has become one of the most reliable midfielders in the League of Ireland and the Northern Irish Premiership. Growing up in the suburb of Clondalkin, Dublin, he spent a decade with St Francis before making the step up to senior football with Bray Wanderers in 2008, where he quickly earned a reputation for tenacity and tactical awareness.
