In 1995, Oregon, a hiker mysteriously disappears into the depths of the wilderness, triggering rising suspicions of a potential virus that appears to spread among the wildlife. Enter Grady Lovell Sam Jaeger, a hardened hunter, alongside his son Blake (Zac Chandler). While out in the idyllic woods, they ascend to a hunting blind where Grady, through the lens of his sniper scope, gets a fleeting glimpse of a creature darting among the trees.
