At his insurance office, confidence man Buzz Buzzard Lionel Stander is scanning for a fresh mark. From across the street, a carefree Woody Woodpecker Ben Hardaway goes about his day, whistling and minding his own business. Buzz wastes no time: he slicks the sidewalk, and Woody slides directly through the front door.
Buzz tries to sell Woody an insurance policy, arguing that “one never knows when a little accident might prove fatal.” The fine print promises Woody’s accidental death will net Buzz $10,000. Woody, not easily fooled, realizes the trap and dares Buzz to try to carry out the plan, taunting him with the line:
