What Is War of the Buttons About?
The premise of War of the Buttons without spoilers.
For generations the neighboring French villages of Longueverne and Velrans have been locked in a petty war, but the combatants are not soldiers—they’re school‑aged boys from each hamlet. When Lebrac, the charismatic leader of the Longueverne gang, is chastised by his father for misplacing his buttons, he hatches a bold plan: the next clash will be fought completely naked, hoping the shock will give his side the advantage.
