Vishnu returns to Chennai from London, shocking his wealthy businessman father, Thangadurai, who has spent years trying to raise him as a timid, sheltered heir. In this tense domestic obstacle course, Muthu, one of Thangadurai’s staffers, diligently watches Vishnu and believes every word his boss mutters. Vishnu, however, is sharper than people realize. He outwits Muthu and seizes a chance to slip away from the opulent confines, slipping into the world beyond the mansion walls.

On the road, Vishnu’s path crosses with Radha, a lively, chatty woman from Kotagiri who is returning home after a stint in Chennai. In a bold turn of events, Vishnu steps in to protect Radha from a harassing police officer, earning her trust and setting the stage for a romance that blooms during their unplanned journey together, away from prying eyes and watchful corridors. The pair choose to travel to Kotagiri together, a decision that binds their fates as they grow closer and dare to dream of a life beyond the gilded cage Vishnu has left behind.

Back in Chennai, Thangadurai’s fury escalates as Vishnu disappears without a trace, and he orders Muthu to bring him back. Vishnu, now on the run, reaches Kotagiri and introduces himself as Krishna to Radha’s grandfather, Singaravelu Naidu, a devout follower of Lord Vishnu. Naidu’s belief in Vishnu’s divine incarnation leads him to open his home to the young man, offering shelter and a sense of belonging that Vishnu has not felt in years. Naidu’s welcome is more than hospitality; it becomes a bridge to a new life.

Vishnu’s journey continues when Naidu secures him a job at the estate owned by Rajamanickam, a grieving man whose sorrow has hardened into anger after the death of his son. Rajamanickam blames Thangadurai for the tragedy and is consumed by a desire for vengeance, waiting for the man he holds responsible to return from London. Vishnu, now in Kotagiri as the estate’s tractor driver, navigates a delicate balance: he avoids exposure to Thangadurai while earning the trust of a man ready to strike at the heart of his rival.

Muthu eventually tracks Vishnu down, but Vishnu convinces him to stay at the estate, buying time and steering clear of discovery. Vishnu’s courage shines as he saves Rajamanickam from a band of goons and stands up for fair wages when Koteeswaran, Harichandra’s son, tries to cheat the workers. Impressed by his resolve, Rajamanickam promotes Vishnu to manager of the estate, a pivotal turn that cements his new place in this world. Vishnu’s bravery continues to win him the family’s gratitude when he saves Nirmala, Rajamanickam’s wife, from a dangerous fire, deepening the bond between them.

Over time, Rajamanickam and Nirmala grow fond enough to consider Vishnu as a son, and the idea of adoption is broached with warmth and hope. Vishnu’s own heart finds completion as he confesses his love for Radha, and Rajamanickam, moved by the bond he shares with Vishnu, consents to their marriage. Yet peace is fragile. When Vishnu attempts to help Rajamanickam break free from his alcoholism, Rajamanickam presents Vishnu with a grim bargain: to kill Thangadurai’s son in return for his own relief from the burden of the past. The request shocks Vishnu and exposes a dangerous moral trap—one that forces him to weigh loyalty, truth, and the consequences of violence.

The plot thickens as Muthu, in a drunken misstep, reveals Vishnu’s whereabouts to Thangadurai. The patriarch hurries to Kotagiri, torn between fear and a father’s instinct to protect his son, and Vishnu is drawn into a race to uncover the truth behind Rajamanickam’s growing hatred. In a decisive confrontation, Harichandra attempts to assassinate Vishnu, but the young man narrowly escapes and demands the real story. Harichandra finally confesses to killing Rajamanickam’s toddler son, exploiting the rift between Rajamanickam and Thangadurai to deflect blame.

Vishnu feigns an alliance with Harichandra to lure out the truth, proposing a shared plan to loot Rajamanickam’s estate and kidnap him. Harichandra, however, double-crosses Vishnu, ordering his men to kill him as well, unaware that Vishnu’s apparent betrayal was a ruse to uncover the truth. In a brutal turn of events, Vishnu fights off Harichandra’s henchmen, and in the climactic downfall, Harichandra and his son Koteeswaran meet their end by falling onto broken glass at a staircase.

The real antagonists are unmasked, and the longstanding rift between Thangadurai and Rajamanickam begins to heal. The story closes on a hopeful note as Vishnu and Radha—now married—embark on a honeymoon, signaling the beginning of a life built on choice, courage, and a shared dream of freedom.
