Vijayendra Varma 2004

An unnamed man, Nandamuri Balakrishna, lives with his wife, Laya, their daughter, and his in-laws, yet he has no name and cannot recall anything from the past seven years. He discovers that he possesses remarkable combat skills whenever evil elements surface, a gift that feels as instinctive as it is unsettling. When he presses his wife to tell the truth, she reveals a harrowing memory: he was found in the river in a mutilated state and was nursed back to health by her family.

Driven to Hyderabad in a bid to uncover his identity, a series of incidents gradually push him toward a truth he cannot ignore. He learns that he is none other than Vijayendra Varma, Nandamuri Balakrishna, a highly respected and steadfast Indian Army Officer. The narrative then follows how he retraces his past and embraces his duty once more, aiming to safeguard the nation from looming Pakistani jihadist threats.

In the film’s tense penultimate sequence, Varma confronts the antagonist, the Pakistani terrorist leader Aslam Khan, Mukesh Rishi. From a plane, Khan is hurled into the void as Varma declares, > Hey Aslam Khan, this is not my hand, but a noose around your neck! > As Khan plunges toward the ground, Varma fires repeatedly and then plants an Indian flag at the spot where Khan lands, a symbolic gesture that signals victory. Varma then salutes the flag, a quiet reaffirmation of duty, sacrifice, and nationhood.
