What Is Through the Breakers About?
The premise of Through the Breakers without spoilers.
The couple, absorbed in their social life, neglect their young daughter. When she becomes seriously ill, the father stays home to care for her and urges his wife to do the same. She slips away to a dance; the child worsens and dies before her mother returns. After her husband leaves, the mother realises selfishness and begs forgiveness at her daughter's grave.
