Spoilers ahead
John Shay, George Peppard, a British MI5 agent who grew up in the United States, is nearly killed during an overseas assignment, and returns to London convinced he was framed. Determined to expose the mole, he starts tracing shadows and suspicious contacts, quickly zeroing in on his colleague Adam Booth, Keith Michell, as a potential Soviet double agent.
Shay’s hunt takes him across London, Athens, Istanbul, and Corfu, as he pieces together clues that point toward Booth’s supposed treachery. The investigation tests his judgment and his nerve, and he forges uneasy alliances while navigating dangerous loyalties.
