The premise of The Most Fertile Man in Ireland without spoilers.
Eamonn is a 24‑year‑old virgin living with his mother in Belfast during the Troubles. When local girl Mary Malloy sleeps with him, she becomes pregnant despite precautions. A doctor discovers his high sperm count, and as Ireland’s birth rate falls, Millicent hires him to impregnate infertile women, an arrangement approved by the local Catholic church as a morally preferable alternative to artificial means.
